We’re delighted to welcome Samantha Thornton as our New Business Director based in Manchester, in the North of England.
What’s your career background?
It feels like a lifetime ago now, but I started my advertising career fresh out of uni as part of the GroupM graduate programme. Over the last decade I’ve been lucky enough to be involved in all aspects of the media landscape. That’s meant I have first-hand experience of working agency side, client side, creative side, sales house side and supplier side.
Fast forward to today and this knowledge has allowed me to specialise in ad tech. For the last five years I’ve helped launch and grow Captify in the regions and covered everything North of London. What I bring to the table (apart from being a proud Mancunian) is my regional knowledge, experience of working with agency groups, indies and direct brands and my love of building relationships. I can’t wait.
Why did you want to work at Crimtan?
The two main things for me were our transparency and our cookieless solution – simply put, there’s nothing else like it in market. I am thrilled to be the lucky person that gets to launch this to the rest of the UK.
Another hugely important thing for me is the culture of the business – I did my research and everyone I asked had great things to say about the Crimtan team. Working in the regions of a global business it’s easy to feel forgotten and not be included in the wider business decisions – but the support I’ve had in the short time I’ve been here has been nothing short of amazing.
Why is now an exciting time for Crimtan in the regions?
Never before have the regions seen as much growth – it’s booming – with more agencies opening and clients moving North than ever before.
Other digital suppliers rely on the same data and the same third party tech and the cookieless world is only going to make this “sameness” worse – agencies and clients across the UK are wise to this and are looking for a truly transparent solution that delivers results. Enter Critman.
