Crimtan receives ABC verification for online brand safety.
London, Thursday 1st May 2014: Global digital advertising technology company, Crimtan, is one of the first 10 companies to have its brand safety policies and practices verified by independent industry auditor ABC (link) as conforming to the JICWEBS Digital Trading Standards Group (DTSG) Good Practice Principles (link).
The DTSG is a new industry initiative for the online advertising industry supported by the IPA, ISBA and the IAB, which promotes a set of Good Practice Principles that aim to inject greater transparency into the UK digital display market. The principles provide brands with greater reassurance that their advertising is more likely to reach the right audience and that they will not be associated with any content that could jeopardise brand reputation.
As a JICWEBS approved Verification Provider, ABC supplies the online media industry with a trusted and robust currency on which media space can be bought and sold.
Paul Goad, Co-founder of Crimtan said: “We have always been totally committed to brand safety for our clients and were the first company to apply brand safety tools on all UK campaigns over two years ago. Today’s announcement not only marks a maturity in the advertising ecosystem, but a real first for the industry and Crimtan is delighted to receive the DTSG Kitemark as one of the first to have achieved verification by ABC and JICWEBS.”
Jerry Wright, ABC Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to have verified Crimtan to JICWEBS Digital Trading Standards Group Good Practice Principles. ABC’s verification service gives our industry confidence about compliance with JICWEBS industry-agreed standards and raises the bar in the important area of brand safety, a key milestone in the evolution of digital display advertising”.
